BEEVERS PROTEIN MODELS |

We can build full-atom protein models to our standard scale, but these are usually far too large and detailed (and expensive!) for most customers. As a result, our protein models are normally constructed with one ball per residue, with the residues colour-coded according to the following list (unless your own colour scheme is requested):
black: nonpolar, alphatic: ala, ile, leu, val, lilac: neutral, aromatic: phe, trp, tyr, his red: acidic: glu, asp blue: basic:arg, asn, gln, lys, green: neutral polar: ser, thr yellow: sulphur containing: cys, met dark blue: gly brown: pro The main chain is picked out with coloured sleeving, and the other rods show hydrogen bonding and S-S bridges. Metal atoms, haem groups, etc., can be shown when required. The models may be inspected from any angle and are not mounted on a base unless requested. The scale for these models is 1cm = 2Å. The models can be made from standard data, or your own data sets. The price is approximately £1.90 per residue. |
